Few horrors are more chilling than navigating the real life terror of the American healthcare system (hence why Toxie and co. are helping wipe out medical debt), as demonstrated by Strings, a live medical thriller now playing until November.

Written and directed by Amit Itelman (Alien Encounter, Bride of Blood),Strings is currently three shows through its world premiere run at Los Angeles' Titmouse Warehouse, with further shows to follow on Saturdays for the rest of September, October and November.

Presented and produced by Trepany House, Strings takes you inside the life of a man named Stanley Porter, who claims to have a disease called Morgellons, a condition in which strings rupture out of his body:

Stanley goes to a doctor for help, but he is denied treatment. Stanley decides to fight back the only way he believes he can. Stanley believes the Medical System exists to monetize off of your illness, and Stanley believes society needs to fight back.

Liesel Hanson (Tales of Halloween), Galen Howard (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Davey Johnson (Platonic), Kimberly Pace-Nieva (Uprooted) and Trisa Robinson (Echoes of Fear) star.
