Ever wanted a chance to stay in a haunted hotel room? Well, now you can experience all the vibes of a cursed vacation without the fear of bringing a ghost home with you, thanks to The Roxbury, a themed hotel in upstate New York. The Catskills resort features several new haunting-themed rooms, perfect for any Halloween lovers who need a secluded getaway.

Located appropriately in Roxbury, New York, the hotel features over thirty themed rooms and cottages, spread over the ground of both a mansion and motel, with each featuring immersive, film set-level decor and furnishings that transport visitors to another world. Their horror-themed offerings include “The Ghost & Mrs. Hicks,” a 19th-century room decorated with feminine decor that offers secrets about the titular ghost that supposedly haunts the room, as well as “Dracula’s Fangs,” a cottage inspired both by Bram Stoker’s novel and Bela Lugosi’s portrayal of the kind of the vampires.

Other whimsical room offerings include “Cinderella’s Gown,” where guests can be immersed in the iconic fairytale, as well as “The Wizard’s Emeralds,” themed after The Wizard of Oz, the sci-fi inspired “The Final Frontier,” and the self-explanatory “Faerie Forest.” Rates for rooms start at around $100 USD, though the prices do rise if you choose to book the bigger cottages, which can sleep up to six guests.

The Roxbury isn’t the only place where fans can go to bring their favorite stories to life, however. Horror fans can also visit places like The Stanley Hotel, which served as inspiration for perhaps the most iconic haunted hotel of all time in The Shining, as well as Buffalo Bill’s house from Silence of the Lambs, where fans can simply take a tour or dare to stay the night.

The Roxbury is open for bookings now. For more information, check out their website
