If you've been playing Sleep Awake, the debut game from Eyes Out studio, you'll have no doubt been listening non-stop to the dark ambient and industrial inspired soundtrack from none other than Nine Inch Nails' (and Eyes Out co-founder) Robin Finck. As part of Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition livestream, publisher Blumhouse Games has premiered a video of the storied guitarist and composer Charlie Clouser bringing the aural horror of the first-person psychedelic nightmare to life.

Released earlier this month on for Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, Sleep Awake comes from veteran game designer Cory Davis (Spec Ops: The Line) and Finck, who launched Eyes Out Studio back in 2021. The game is set in the last known city on Earth, where people are disappearing in their sleep:

Those who remain exist in a crisis of reckless experiments to keep awake. Katja must navigate depraved death cults, otherworldly forces, and the ever-present horror of The HUSH, to save herself and those who rely upon her.

Blumhouse Games' division, which also boasts titles such as Fear the Spotlight, Eyes of Hellfire and the upcoming Grave Seasons among its publishing roster, was developed by the horror production behemoth as a way to, in Jason Blum's words, replicate its film approach in the gaming sector by seeking out original, low-budget ideas that can be turned into successful games.

The full Sleep Awake soundtrack is available to stream across a number of platforms here.
