Chances are you already guessed who it was from the headline, but it's official – after many years of speculation and demand, Jason Voorhees is finally slicing his way into The Fog. Dead By Daylight, in partnership with Jason Universe, is bringing the legendary masked slasher to the asymmetric multiplayer survival horror video game as a new Killer. The lack of Jason in Dead By Daylight has been a point of frustration for the fanbase for a good long while, especially as his slasher peers – including Scream's Ghost Face, Child's Play‘s Chucky and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s Leatherface – have been part of the game for some years now.
As any Friday the 13th fan will know, various rights issues have prevented the hockey-masked maniac from officially appearing in film, television and game form as often as we'd like him to, but things are steadily starting to change due to the Jason Universe official brand initiative established by Horror, Inc.
Jason fans also have A24 and Peacock's upcoming prequel series Crystal Lake, starring Linda Cardellini, coming their way this October. Now all we need is another movie, huh?
