Looking to fill a Lost-shaped hole in your vinyl collection? Now you can, thanks to Varèse Sarabande’s newest release: the score for Lost Season 3, as written by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino, which hits record store shelves this summer.
The thirty-six track soundtrack is being pressed on a 2-LP set in “Forest Green,” and arrives in a gatefold jacket featuring promotional art from Season 3 on the cover, as well as original creative notes from the 2006 CD release, written by Giacchino and producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. The new release follows Varèse Sarabande’s release of the soundtracks for Seasons 1 and 2, which are available to buy individually for $40 USD, or as a collection with Season 3, which retails for $103 USD.

The new Lost Season 3 vinyl joins an extensive collection of soundtracks pressed by Varèse Sarabande, whose catalogue ranges from classics like Driving Miss Daisy and The Sound of Music to children’s films like Shrek. Other horror soundtracks pressed by the label include April Fool’s Day, Blade and Blade II, Hellboy II, The Omen, and more.
Lost originally premiered in 2004, created by Lindelof, Jeffrey Lieber, and J.J. Abrams, and ran for six years and over one hundred episodes as it chronicled the fates of the passengers on Oceanic Airlines Flight 815. Season 3 is largely considered to be one of the show’s best, with Giacchino giving his all to produce its score, per Nerdist:
“It was emotionally difficult at times because the show is so emotional, and you get invested in a lot of the storylines and what’s going on. But as a composer, I had to embody all of those emotions as I’m watching it; that’s the only way for me to get a truth in music across to you. I can’t write scary music. I actually have to be scared or be sad or be surprised.”
The Lost Season 3 soundtrack hits shelves on July 24, and is available for pre-order now.
