Adam Wingard (You're Next, Godzilla vs. Kong) returns to genre with Onslaught, the upcoming ‘gonzo action-horror' hitting theaters on September 4 via A24. Check out the first trailer below:
Starring Adria Arjona (Andor), scream king Dan Stevens (Cuckoo AMC's The Devil in Silver), Drew Starkey (Queer) and Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs. Kong), with MMA artist Alex Pereira as the ominously named ‘The Butcher', in Onslaught, when a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter. Frequent Wingard collaborator Simon Barrett writes and produces.
Reginald VelJohnson (Die Hard), Michael Biehn (Aliens) and Tim & Eric‘s Eric Wareheim also star.
In an interview with AOL, Stevens, who previously starred in Wingard's The Guest, called Onslaught “batshit”, teasing that those of us who liked The Guest will find a lot to love in Onslaught. We don't doubt him.
