Dead By Daylight players are feasting right now with the recent reveal that slasher icon Jason Voorhees is finally joining the asymmetric multiplayer horror game and the additional treats announced at the 10th anniversary celebrations this weekend, which included more exciting updates about the upcoming Dead By Daylight film adaptation.

At the Dead By Daylight fan event this weekend in Montreal, Behaviour Interactive Executive Vice President Stephen Mulrooney took to the stage alongside Blumhouse head honcho and producer Jason Blum to reveal more about the film adaptation that was first announced back in 2023.

From Blumhouse and James Wan's Atomic Monster, Dead By Daylight is written by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Crawl) and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (Orphan, The Conjuring 2), and will officially be directed by Icelandic director Thordur Palsson (The Damned).

Wan, Blum and Behaviour’s chief product officer Stephen Mulrooney are producers on the adaptation. Executive producers include Behaviour’s Remi Racine, Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear and Judson Scott, Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek, and Striker Entertainment’s Russell Binder.
