Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin took his bloody brand of horror to Egypt with Lee Cronin's The Mummy, a modern spin on the classic undead monster. Starring Jack Reynor and May Calamawy, Cronin’s take on the classic horror story focuses on a family broken by grief when their young daughter disappears into the desert without a trace. But, when she returns eight years later — looking exactly the same, only discovered inside an ancient sarcophagus — she brings with her a living nightmare, and a curse that will haunt her entire family.

The new release of Lee Cronin's The Mummy comes with an audio commentary from Cronin himself, making-of, deleted scenes and more.

After ten years and five massive seasons, Netflix's game-changing sci-fi horror series Stranger Things wrapped up late last year, as Mike, Dustin, Eleven et al's adventures in the Upside Down came to an epic conclusion. Arrow Films is giving Stranger Things a release fitting for such a cultural juggernaut, with the Deluxe Edition 4K UHD boxset including all forty-two episodes, interviews, commentaries, extras, new writing and so much more.

That Netflix should even allow a physical media release of one of its biggest properties is pretty remarkable in itself, as the streaming giant is notoriously cagey about its shows or movies being accessible offsite. If the Deluxe 4K UHD Edition is a little far out of your price range but you still want to be part of the party, Arrow is also offering a standard 4K UHD set, a Deluxe Blu-ray set, and a standard Blu-ray set.

Pre-order Stranger Things The Complete Series Deluxe Edition 4K UHD right here for release on July 27.

Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo: The Iron Man is a screeching metal assault on all senses, and while its two sequels, Tetsuo II: Body Hammer and Tetsuo: The Bullet Man, haven't quite achieved the same level of cult success, they're still very much worth owning, especially if you're a fan of WTF cinema from Japan's vast canon of the genre.

In Bullet Man, a bland and cautious American office worker living in Tokyo  begins a violent and bizarre metamorphosis, his flesh transforming into metal, his body expressing his repressed rage and lust for revenge after his young son is killed. Unearthed Films' new release of Bullet Man comes with a new audio commentary with ctor Eric Bossick and Japanese cinema expert Tom Mes, and more.

Order Tetsuo: The Bullet Man for release later this month here.

If you're new to the filmography of Japanese auteur Takashi Miike and looking to get into his work ahead of his upcoming supernatural horror film with brat superstar Charli xcx, might we suggest Visitor Q to ease you in? It's a wholesome drama that follows a family's coming together after the arrival of a mysterious stranger. Especially great to watch with your mom or da-yeah, sorry we can't keep that up. For the unfamiliar, Visitor Q is one of Miike's most delightfully perverse and truly shocking movies, and that's saying something from the man who directed Gozu and Audition.

New Wave Video's landmark new Blu-ray release of Visitor Q was transferred from the original master tape, and comes with new interview with Miike, new introduction by filmmaker and historian Andrew Leavold, new video essays, new writing from Michelle Kisner and yours truly, and much more.
