If you’re a horror fan, you know that scary movies often have characters that do foolish things, like calling out “hello” after hearing a strange noise in a dark basement. However, many horror films feature intelligent characters who escape before the spooky events begin or save themselves from a terrible fate.

So Who Is the Best?

On a popular online movie forum, one user asked horror fans to list the most brilliant characters they could think of from their favorite horror films. The horror community created a fantastic list of intelligent horror heroes. But be warned, if you keep reading, you will see some spoilers.
