Collectible popcorn buckets are becoming all the rage, and we are quite frankly running out of places to put these things. But Regal's new line of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice popcorn buckets may force us to find the space.
Disney has been in the collectible popcorn bucket game for some time now, with folks hunting down the vessels for sport. Movie theaters have recently gotten in on the action, most notably, the Dune popcorn bucket caused quite a stir, though the Alien: Romulus Xenomorph popcorn bucket may give Dune buckets a run for its money. My personal favorite is still Cinemark's Ghostface (which is also good for holding slurpees and plants).
Regal shared the three new popcorn bucket designs fit for the Netherworld on their Facebook yesterday afternoon, can you say “popcorn bucket, popcorn bucket, popcorn bucket?”
The official Regal account shared two photos of each option with the caption, “Summon them from your local theatre soon.” Beetlejuice fans will be familiar with the iconic Sandworm, Betelgeuse tombstone, and the Handbook for the Recently Deceased. (Would have loved to see a Miss Argentina option!) But these are all pretty solid and we'll be joining the hunt when the time comes. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is in theaters September 6th, and we suspect the popcorn buckets will be trickling into Regal theater locations ahead of that. So keep an eye out, soon indeed!
