The horror-drama will premiere on FX on September 25.
Travis Kelce has an ominous message for us in the new trailer for GROTESQUERIE

Ahead of its premiere on September 25, Ryan Murphy and FX‘s latest horror-drama series Grotesquerie gets a brand new trailer today, and – predictably – promises that things are gonna get real weird.

Starring Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Raven Goodwin and footballer/Taylor Swift's beau Travis Kelce, Grotesquerie's 10-episode series revolves around a small community unsettled by a series of heinous crimes:

Detective Lois Tryon (Nash-Betts) feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan (Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian.

Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.

Written and created by Ryan Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, Grotesquerie is directed by Max Winkler (American Horror Story), Murphy, Alexis Martin Woodall (Scream Queens) and Elegance Bratton (My House).

Murphy and FX have of course partnered for a number of past projects, including American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Pose and Feud.

Today's new trailer gives us our first glimpse of Kelce, who was cast as a mysterious character earlier this year, and his ominous warning that “There is no future after this.” Given that this is the sportstar's acting debut, Swifties are probably waiting with baited breath to see how he does, but star Nash has praised the tight end's performance, saying “You know what, I'm pleasantly surprised. He's doing really well.”

Grotesquerie will debut on FX on Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and stream the next day on Hulu. It will be available internationally on Disney+ at a later date.
