Screambox is bringing us a brand new horror anthology in October. The streaming service has announced a release date for Tales from the Void, which uses viral stories from Reddit’s popular NoSleep subreddit as inspiration for its various episodes. The show is scheduled to debut Sunday, October 13, with two new episodes premiering each Sunday through October 27. Mark your calendars and plan accordingly.
Two episodes of the show will premiere exclusively on Screambox each week beginning October 13. They will be available to buy or rent on digital platforms the following Tuesday, offering viewers several options. We also have a full breakdown of the episode titles, as well as artwork for each episode of the series, which was first announced in March of this year. So, what can viewers expect? Tales from the Void features episodes directed by Joe Lynch (Suitable Flesh), John Adams & Toby Poser (Hellbender), Maritte Lee Go (Black as Night) and series creator Francesco Loschiavo. Each episode is accompanied by a post-show interview with the original author, hosted by No Sleep Podcast creator David Cummings. The synopsis for the show reads as follows:
“From creepy dolls to unborn children, unsolved mysteries to serial murders, unexplained invasions to creatures that stalk the night, the series draws from a wide spectrum of horror. Each unnerving tale blends genre thrills with social commentary to explore the darker side of the human psyche.”
