Carnage for Christmas, the latest feature from trailblazing trans filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay, heads to digital and on demand on October 22, with a brand new trailer today via Dark Star Pictures that'll get you into the festive spirit early.

Starring Jeremy Moineau, Dominque Booth, Zarif, Olivia Deeble, Joe Romeo and Betsey Brown, and edited by The People's Joker‘s Vera Drew, Carnage for Christmas follows a trans true crime podcaster who returns to her hometown for the festive season, only to find herself chased byte vengeful spirit of a notorious historical murderer:

It’s Christmas, so come with us on a blood-soaked sleigh ride to the conservative hometown of trans true-crime podcaster, Lola. Worried about the town’s reaction to her transition, Lola is ready to take on anyone this holiday season! However, she didn't expect that person to be a Santa masked killer – paying grisly homage to the town’s own haunted legend, The Toymaker.

Now Lola – who has her own connection to the original Toymaker murders – must put an end to these gruesome murders.

Carnage for Christmas marks Mackay's fifth feature since her 2021 debut So Vam, which she famously directed at just 16 years old. Mackay's following features, including T Blockers, Bad Girl Boogey and Satranic Panic have all played a number of prestigious festivals including Fantasia and London's FrightFest.

Watch the new trailer below for Carnage for Christmas and check it out on October 22 (and then you can add it to your annual Christmas horror rewatch list!)
