Terrifier 4 is officially underway, with director Damien Leone today teasing that the slasher sequel will reveal Art the Clown's origin story.
Sharing a sneak peek of the script on Instagram to celebrate his birthday, Leone captioned the following:
The script for Terrifier 4 is under way and it is shaping up to be the most epic, horrifying, thrilling, emotional and satisfying conclusion to the Terrifier saga. I’ve personally never been so excited to see one of my own scripts translate to the screen like this one. P.S. I will finally reveal Art’s origin in this entry […]
Last year's Christmas bloodbath Terrifier 3 not only smashed the box office once again, but went on to become the highest-grossing unrated film of all time.
Not much is known about Terrifier 4 at the time of writing, other than David Howard Thornton will return as the maniacal Art, alongside Lauren LaVera as final girl Sienna Shaw. Considering how things were left in the last movie, poor Sienna's got a hell of an ordeal ahead of her. Leone has also teased that Terrifier 4 will go to some “experimental” places, so maybe we'll see the pair embark on a Hellraiser 2-esque inter-dimensional showdown.
Although Leone has previously teased that it could take two more entries to wrap up the bloody saga of Art and Sienna, his caption seems to suggest that Terrifier 4 is the franchise finale. But as we all know, you can't keep a good clown down.
Check out Leone's post below (and go and wish him a happy birthday while you're at it!) and look out for more Terrifier 4 news as it slices in.
