Scream 7‘s cast just keeps growing and growing, with Deadline revealing today that Scott Foley (Scream 3, The Girls on the Bus) has joined the slasher sequel.

“But wait,” we hear you cry, “Scott Foley? Who played Ghostface Roman Bridger in Scream 3? The same Roman Bridger who was Sidney's half-brother? The same Roman Bridger who was killed by David Arquette's Dewey?” Yes, the very same Scott Foley.

As Deadline point out, this could mean any number of things. Foley could be returning in a Skeet Ulrich-style hallucination (the Scream star appeared in Scream 5 and 6 as figment of Melissa Barrera's Sam's imagination). Roman could have faked his death…somehow? Foley could be playing Roman's identical twin brother. Maybe the Scream franchise is about to make a full genre pivot and bring zombies into the equation. Only time will tell.

Set for release on February 27, 2026, Scream 7 is directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson, and stars * deep breath * Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Isabel May, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Anna Camp ,Mark Consuelos, Joel McHale and, of course, Neve Campbell who'll be returning as final girl Sidney.

As we know, McHale will play Sidney's husband in the Sidney-focused story, with May playing her daughter, so Foley's return as Roman Bridger certainly makes this family reunion much more interesting.

The Scream 7 casting seemingly shows no signs of slowing down, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
