Hit horror drama Yellowjackets returns for its third season this Valentine's Day, with SHOWTIME today debuting a sneak peek at the first episode.
Buzzing onto Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on February 14 (and February 16 for those not subscribed), Yellowjackets Season 3 continues to tell the traumatic story, created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, of a team of high school soccer players left to survive in the wilderness after a devastating plane crash, and the residual trauma left over almost 25 years later.
Returning for Season 3 are stars Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Elijah Wood, Simone Kessell, Warren Kole, Lauren Ambrose Sophie Nélisse, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Kevin Alves and Sarah Desjardins. Newcomers this season also include Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, and Community‘s Joel McHale.
An official plot synopsis for the third season of the Emmy-nominated show reads:
The Yellowjackets continue to fight for survival after a brutal winter in The Wilderness. In the present day, still reeling from Natalie’s death, the survivors are forced to uncover secrets they thought were buried for good.
Today's new clip, first debuted by Entertainment Weekly earlier today, sees Teen Van (Liv Hewson) and Teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) recount the traumatic events that the girls have lived through (well, most of them) since the plane crashed. So if you haven't had time to do a series rewatch before Friday, Van's got you covered.
Two episodes of Yellowjackets Season Three will debut on Valentine’s Day on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan. Those not subscribed can catch it airing on Sunday, February 16.
