Join On Set Cinema and He Who Walks Behind The Rows in the small town of Gatlin (better known as Whiting, Iowa) for a very special weekend celebration of Stephen King’s horror classic Children of the Corn, right where Fritz Kirsch's 1984 adaptation was filmed.
On Friday, July 11, Children of the Corn fans in or around Whiting, Iowa, can watch a special screening of the film inside the Whiting City Hall Community Center, right next to the flagpole where the terrifying Malachai (Courtney Gains) screamed his infamous “Outlander!” lines.
Before the screening, fans will get a guided filming locations walking tour of downtown Whiting lead by Kenny Caperton of On Set Cinema and Children of the Corn historian, John Sullivan, showing fans around the site of many of the movie's best scenes including where Burt (Peter Horton) and Vicky (Linda Hamilton) pull into the eerie ghost town in front of Hansen’s Café, and of course the aforementioned scene where Vicky is held hostage.
Corn superfans can also join On Set Cinema the next day on Saturday, July 12 for a 2.5 hour filming locations school bus tour, leading followers to additional filming sites in Hornick and Salix, Iowa, including an exclusive tour of the infamous Children of the Corn house.
Plus, for the first time ever, a very limited number of fans will have the incredible opportunity to spend not one, but two nights inside that iconic forbidden house.
