Bleecker Street has acquired U.S. rights to erotic horror thriller Bone Lake for an October 10 theatrical release, Variety reports today.
The third feature from director Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Spoonful of Sugar), Bone Lake first premiered at last year's Fantastic Fest. Marco Pigossi (Gen V), Maddie Hasson (Twisted), Alex Roe (Hot Summer Nights) and Andra Nechita (The Sex Lives of College Girls) star in the film, which follows:
“…a couple whose romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they’re forced to share the mansion with another mysterious couple. Their dream getaway spirals into a “nightmarish maze of sex, lies and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival,”
Behind the scenes, producers include by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jacob Yakob for LD Entertainment, along with Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers are Mehrdod Heydari and Joseph Yakob for LD Entertainment, as well as Alex Roe.
Variety also confirm that Mister Smith, a British distribution company, has come on board to represent the international rights, which will launch at Cannes Film Festival.
