New York City's Tribeca Film Festival kicks off next month from June 4 – 15, and we've got an exclusive first look at the fest's Escape from Tribeca zine, which will be given out to ticket holders for the retro screenings including a 50th anniversary screening of David Cronenberg's Shivers, a 25th anniversary American Psycho retrospective and more.
Included in the staggering lineup of the “Escape from Tribeca” slate are Dan Trachtenberg's animated sci-fi horror anthology Predator: Killer of Killers, Tina Romero's queer zombie comedy Queens of the Dead, the Benson and Moorhead-produced mystery thriller Man Finds Tape and Degenerate: The Life and Films of Andy Milligan, a comprehensive documentary about one of queer genre cinema's most outlandish figures.
The Escape from Tribeca souvenir zine comes filled with materials old and new, including some vintage FANGORIA articles, on Mary Harron and American Psycho, David Cronenberg and Shivers and the life and career of Andy Milligan, including reproductions of older pieces by Martin Scorsese and Jay Cocks, Tim Lucas, Bill Landis, Kier-La Janisse, and much more.
The zine also includes new pieces by Mike White, Payton McCarty-Simas and Jonathan Penner, among others. Oh, and did we mention, it's absolutely free?
