A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET Slashing Onto 4K UHD This Halloween

Warner Bros.' release of Wes Craven's iconic slasher will also include the Uncut Version.

For the first time, Freddy Krueger is heading to 4K UHD, as Warner Bros. Discovery are bringing Wes Craven and New Line Cinema‘s sleepy slasher classic A Nightmare on Elm Street to 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc in honor of the film's 40th anniversary.

The 4K UHD remaster of A Nightmare on Elm Street includes both the 1984 theatrical version of the film and an uncut version of the film that includes 8 seconds of additional unrated footage. Digitally, you can purchase digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and more.

The iconic slasher hits streamers digitally on October 1, while the disc is available from October 15 (perfect Halloween watching!)

Bloody Disgusting, who broke the news yesterday, remind us that the uncut footage was included with previous home video releases domestically and internationally, but this is the first time it’s been integrated back into the movie for a U.S. physical media release

We're sure we don't need to remind you, but just in case: A Nightmare on Elm Street stars the legendary Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakely, Amanda Wyss and Nick Corri.

Can your nightmares be fatal? In this classic of the horror film genre that launched a movie franchise, a hideously scarred man who was murdered by a lynch mob returns years later in the terrifying nightmares of his killer’s teenage children… and the dreaming teenagers are starting to die in their sleep.

According to the official press release, here's the exciting disc extras you can expect…
