The Adams Family, horror's favorite family of filmmakers, are soon to return with their new feature Mother of Flies, which has officially been picked up for worldwide sales by Yellow Veil Pictures.
The supernatural horror from the Hellbender and Where the Devil Roams directing trio of John Adams, Toby Poser and their daughter, Zelda Adams will have its first footage presented to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival in the coming days.
In Mother of Flies:
“When a young woman faces a deadly diagnosis, she seeks dark magic from a witch in the woods. But every cure has its cost.”
Lulu Adams (Where the Devil Roams) will star alongside Poser, John and Zelda Adams, with Poser also producing.
According to Fantasia Film Festival, where Mother of Flies will have its World Premiere in July, says the Adams describe the film “their fairytale manipulation of the darkly shadowed, yet love-lined pathways between a human life and death.”
Here's what Yellow Veil co-founder Joe Yanick has to say of Mother of Flies:
“Mother of Flies feels like a spiritual sequel to Hellbender, showcasing the family at their best: mining their own personal histories to create something beautifully morbid,”
