Alien: Rogue Incursion, the upcoming action-horror VR title set in the Alien universe, gets a brand new story trailer today ahead of its release on PlayStation VR2 and PCVR via Steam on December 19.
Emmy Award winner Andia Winslow has a starring voice role in the game developed by Survios. More info from an official press release reads as follows:
Alien: Rogue Incursion is a brand-new single-player action-horror VR game that immerses players in the world of Alien. The game stars Zula Hendricks, an unbreakable ex-Colonial Marine, on a dangerous mission that brings her to the uncharted planet Purdan, and the secrets hiding beneath its surface.
With her sentient AI companion, Davis 01, Zula must fight her way to the heart of the infested Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility. There she will need to survive deadly attacks from the most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered and discover new horrors and threats that once unleashed could spell the end for humankind.
Created using the Unreal Engine (the same software that bought to life Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake earlier this year), Alien: Rogue Incursion features *gulp* intelligent Xenomorphs that use the environment around the player to appear from anywhere around you, including at your most vulnerable.
TQ Jefferson, Survios Chief Product Officer and Creative Director of Alien: Rogue Incursion, shared more about the trailer in a new post on the PlayStation Blog, where he also announced that Alien: Rogue Incursion has officially gone gold ahead of launch next month.
In a recent interview with Game Rant, Survios writer Alex White teases that Alien: Rogue Incursion will be a fresh experience entirely different from the story of any of the Alien movies.
Alien: Rogue Incursion will land for the Meta Quest 3, the PlayStation VR 2 and PC via Steam on December 19th, and on other Meta platforms in early 2025. Watch the new trailer below.
