In addition to their creepy-cute line of dolls based on classic creatures, Monster High has also been gifting us with collectible, high-fashion versions of our favorite horror movie killers. So far, their popular Skullector lineup has included familiar faces like David from The Lost Boys, Beetlejuice, and even M3GAN, but this time, they’re bringing the deadliest one of all into the fray: Alien’s Xenomorph queen.
The new doll, which will be available on October 17 exclusively on the Mattel Creations website, blends the unique, H.R. Giger-designed look of the Xenomorph with Monster High’s signature glam aesthetic to create a killer new piece for your doll collection. Decked out in a sheer black and iridescent foil skirt and top, the doll’s outfit features a pleather bodysuit and subtle lace pieces inspired by the alien’s exoskeleton and her children, as well as heels recreating the franchise’s iconic facehuggers, and of course, a headpiece mimicking its memorable elongated skull.
Each Skullector doll features eleven points of articulation, as well as a bendable tail, measuring eleven inches tall, not including the doll stand she comes with. The dolls come in premium collectible packaging reminiscent of the Nostromo from the original film, and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, retailing for $85 USD.
The special collectible comes closely on the heels of Alien: Earth, which just recently wrapped up its first season on FX, and ahead of the upcoming sequel to Alien: Romulus, the latest entry in the nearly five-decade old franchise being produced by Fede Álvarez and original director Ridley Scott. The collectible joins a long line of products inspired by the Xenomorph (and, to a lesser extent, Ripley), the latest of which also includes Alien: Earth’s soundtrack, pressed on blue vinyl from Mutant.
