Ahead of its Cannes debut, NEON has released the first poster for Julia Ducournau's upcoming genre-bender Alpha, as well as a reveal that the film will hit theaters this fall.
The third feature from the Raw and Titane director stars Golshifteh Farahani and Tahar Rahim, and follows Alpha, a troubled 13-year-old who lives with her single mom. Their world collapses the day she returns from school with a tattoo on her arm
Alpha, which has been described as Ducournau's “most personal, profound work” , does not yet have an exact release date. UK and Irish horror fans fear not, because Curzon has picked the film up for release from Charades and FilmNation.
Back in 2021, Ducournau's body horror epic Titane won the Palme d'Or at the prestigious film festival, boding well for Alpha‘s chance at taking home the prize again.
Cannes kicks off later this week, with more Alpha updates surely rolling in after its premiere. Check out the first poster below and stay tuned.
