ALPHA Teaser Trailer Previews A New Body Horror Nightmare From Julia Ducournau

The TITANE director's latest hits theaters this fall via NEON.

Julia Ducournau's Alpha, one of the most anticipated features playing at Cannes this week, hits theaters this fall, with NEON debuting the first teaser trailer today.

The third feature from the Raw and Titane director stars Mélissa Boros, Golshifteh Farahani and Tahar Rahim and follows Alpha, a troubled 13-year-old who lives with her single mom whose world collapses the day she returns from school with a tattoo on her arm.

Billed as Ducournau's most personal film yet, Alpha is influenced by the director's experience growing up during the AIDS epidemic of the 80s and 90s. While previous reports have said Alpha skews less towards body horror than her previous two efforts, including the Palme d'Or winner Titanetoday's new teaser certainly doesn't make it seem like Ducournau is going easy on us.

Check it out for yourself below and we'll bring you more on Alpha as updates roll in.
