Ari Aster's Eddington is headed to Cannes Film Festival next month, with today bringing both a first look image and a poster of the dark Western thriller.
The fourth feature from the Hereditary and Midsommar director, Eddington stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler, and is believed to revolve around a small-town sheriff (Phoenix) in New Mexico with ambitious dreams, per Variety.
Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Clifton Collins Jr. and Luke Grimes also star.
Eddington sees Aster team up with A24 in their sixth collaboration, following Hereditary, Midsommar and Beau Is Afraid. Aster's Square Peg banner also worked with A24 on Dream Scenario, Death of a Unicorn, The Drama and Primetime.
Aster produced Eddington alongside Lars Knudsen under Square Peg. Production kicked off in March 2024, with the film now in post-production. A24 is apparently targeting a summer release.
Keep an eye out for more updates on Eddington as we get them.
