We love it when a pop girlie embraces our favorite genre, and Ariana Grande has done just that by teaming up with scream king Justin Long (Tusk, Drag Me to Hell, Barbarian) for her new single. Check out the music video for ‘hate that i made you love me' below:

Directed by Christian Breslauer with visuals by frequent Steven Spielberg collaborator, DoP Janusz Kamiński, the ‘hate that i made you love me' MV sees Long haunted by a vengeful Grande, getting torn up along the way in a manner only a true scream king can.

The MV isn't Grande's first time dabbling in horror – the Oscar-nominated star had a recurring role in Ryan Murphy's slasher series Scream Queens back in 2015. Post-Wicked, we can only hope that Grande's acting career continues to shine with a full starring role in a buzzy horror movie, because she's clearly made for it. Someone get NEON on the phone.

‘hate that i made you love me' is the first single off of “Petal,” Grande's eight studio album releasing on July 31 via Republic Records.
