BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE Sets Max Streaming Premiere Date

Tim Burton's long-awaited horror-comedy sequel racked up $451 million at the global box office earlier this year.

The wait for Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice may have been long, but it was so worth it. The bonafide box office hit conjured up a cool $451 million at the global box office before hitting digital and PVOD, and is set to hit Max just in time for the festive season.

According to When to Stream, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will start streaming on Max on December 6.

On the off-chance you missed Burton's follow-up to 1988's BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice Beetlejuice saw stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara return, with new additions including Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux and Arthur Conti.

In Beetlejuice Beetlejuice:

“After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic, and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times, and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”

Given Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘s rampant reception, fans have been clamoring to know if a third film, presumably titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, will ever come to life. Sadly, according to Burton, one sequel might be enough to lay the series to rest:

“Let’s do the math… it took 35 years to do this, so I’ll be over 100 […] But I guess it’s possible with the advent of science these days, but I don’t think so.”

Who knows though! Stranger things have certainly happened. Catch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on Max on December 6.
