BLACK SWAN Dances Into IMAX Theaters For 15th Anniversary

Darren Aronofsky's psychological horror was nominated for five Academy Awards back in 2010.

Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan is dancing onto IMAX screens as part the psychological ballerina horror's 15th anniversary celebrations.

Released in 2010, Black Swan stars an Oscar-winning Natalie Portman as an innocent young dancer who lives with her overbearing mother (Barbara Hershey). Upon landing the role of the lead role of White Swan Odette in a production of Swan Lake, she finds herself haunted by a double and influenced by the outgoing and sexually confident Lily (Mila Kunis) playing the role of the Black Swan Odile.

Also starring are Vincent Cassel and Winona Ryder. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including for Best Picture and Best Director, and grossed over $329 million globally.

Black Swan 15th Anniversary Exclusive: Remastered for IMAX launches on over 200 screens on August 21 and August 24. According to Searchlight, the remastered version will be an “opportunity to experience the film’s full cinematic scope and depth for the first time ever in the IMAX format.” Ticket holders will take home a commemorative poster while supplies last.
