Every good horror-head knows that Halloween isn’t just a day in October: it’s the entire month. All thirty-one days are fair game for celebrating all things spooky, scary, and otherwise terrifying, which means that it’s a 24/7 celebration of the films that raised us, terrified us, and shaped us. And now, Blumhouse knows it too, as they partner with AMC Theaters to bring their annual October BlumFest to theaters around the country.
The celebration will run through the entire month of October (and the end of September, if you just can’t wait), with over fifty cities in the US participating to bring some of Blumhouse’s most iconic hits back to the big screen. The full list of titles and dates, featuring old and new icons from the company, is as follows:
- Wednesday, September 25, 2024 – Paranormal Activity
- Wednesday, October 2, 2024 – Lights Out
- Wednesday, October 9, 2024 – Insidious: Chapter 2
- Wednesday, October 16, 2024 – Happy Death Day
- Wednesday, October 23, 2024 – The Black Phone
- Wednesday, October 30, 2024 – Five Nights At Freddy’s
“This whole month is a love letter to Halloween and our fans, and we’re grateful to our partners at AMC for joining us for BlumFest, our annual October celebration of all things Blumhouse. I can’t believe we’re already celebrating the 15th anniversary of Paranormal Activity, because it feels like we’re just getting started,” said Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse.
In addition, a new Blumhouse joint will be hitting theaters just a day after Lights Out makes its return: House of Spoils, starring Ariana DeBose alongside Barbie Ferreira and Arian Moayed as a chef contending with running her kitchen while a pesky ghost tries to ruin things for her. That’s just one of many Blumhouse titles we have to look forward to, including Leigh Whannell’s new take on the Wolf Man, as well as sequels to M3GAN, The Black Phone, and Five Nights At Freddy’s.
