Burger King is no stranger to the Halloween novelty food game. They've previously used black buns to create a “Halloween Whopper” and in 2019, they sold a silly amount of “Upside-Down Whoppers” to celebrate Stranger Things. Really, it was just a Whopper constructed in reverse, with the top bun on the bottom and the veggie accoutrements forming the base. The meat patty sat on top as usual, but this incarnation had the flat bottom bun placed on top of the aforementioned meat patty. But it did come in themed vintage-inspired packaging, and we ate it up.
This year's offerings are actually pretty cool. Burger King is rolling out an Addams Family Halloween menu, including four new items based on the animated movies: a themed burger, shake, onion rings, and churro fries. The fast food monarch will also be releasing a limited-edition line of King Jr. Meal toys inspired by the characters from The Addams Family animated films, in addition to running a “Fright or Bite” campaign with a chance to win prizes.

Wednesday's Whopper
This time, we get a purple bun! Which seems pretty fitting for one of our most beloved goth icons. Here's the official description: Enjoy the iconic flame-grilled Whopper topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions all toasted on a purple bun that gets its hue from purple potato topped with black sesame seeds.
Thing's Rings
Ok, so as far as I can tell these are in fact just onion rings, but they come in cute packaging. So what the hell, I already know I'm going to order some with my purple Whopper. Gomez's Churro Fries
As a spicy Castilian, churros make all the sense in the world as Gomez's themed novelty treat. The official description: Keep the flames of love alive with Gomez’s Churro Fries – deliciously crispy, fried churros coated in cinnamon sugar and paired with chocolate dipping sauce.
Morticia's Kooky Chocolate Shake
I hope all locations are serving the shake up in the themed Morticia cup. If not, I suppose the chocolatey tones with the purple cookie pieces theme it out enough to make it count. And the official description: You don’t have to be a psychic to know you’ll love this delicious shake that features creamy soft serve mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge and topped with black and purple cookie pieces.
Listen, I'm really hoping they send enough of these purple crowns out to all locations because if I have to eat this purple burger sans color-coordinated crown, what is even the point.
