Is candy not really your speed when it comes to Halloween treats? Well, if that’s the case, then Burger King has you covered with their all-new Monster Menu, a limited-time Halloween menu featuring multiple hauntingly tasty delights. Available starting tomorrow, September 30, the new menu offers a twist on some of the fast food chain’s most beloved menu items, and even some unique offerings too.
The special menu, which will be available in US restaurants through Halloween, includes four food items, including the Jack-O-Lantern Whopper, which features a striking orange bun with black sesame seeds; Vampire Nuggets shaped like fangs and bats, served in a carton shaped like a coffin; Mummy Mozzarella Fries, served in a limited-edition mummy themed box; and the Franken-Candy Sundae, featuring vanilla soft serve topped with Oreo pieces, purple syrup, and purple and green popping candy.
Kids will also have their own special treats available at Burger King, as the chain will be offering not only special kid’s meal toys inspired by Scooby Doo, but also limited-edition Halloween buckets built with trick-or-treating in mind, which will be available beginning October 13.
“BK fans have come to expect something spirited from us during the Halloween season, and each year we try to bring even more fun to families,” said Joel Yashinsky, Burger King’s Chief Marketing Office.. “This year, we’ve dialed up the fun and flavor, not only with our ‘Monster Menu’ line-up complete with themed menu innovation, packaging and a special crown, but also with collectible buckets and Scooby-Doo toys – creating even more experiences for everyone.”
This isn’t the first time a fast food chain has appealed to horror audiences with their unique creations. Burger King also teamed up with the animated Addams Family movie for a special Halloween menu in the past, and restaurants like Wendy’s have also partnered with titles like Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice for electrifying (if calorie-dense) specialty items.
Burger King’s Monster Menu will be available at participating locations beginning tomorrow, September 30.
