The monster movie renaissance continues with Yeti, an upcoming survival thriller from The Conjuring: Last Rites director Michael Chaves and starring Chris Pine (Don't Worry Darling, Carousel).

Iona Bell (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping), Ray Winstone (Damsel), and Sofia Boutella (Rebel Moon) star alongside Pine, with the pic produced as part of Netflix and Sony Pictures' partnership established back in 2021.

Per Deadline, who reported the news earlier today, Yeti takes place deep in the Alps, where an avalanche has unleashed something primeval from the glacial ice. With no hope of rescue, a father (Pine) and his daughter (Bell) must fight to survive against a merciless predator that blends in with the snow.

Yeti started life as a spec script by writer Peter Gaffney, that we reported on all the way back in 2024, and is not to be confused with the soon-playing The Yeti, starring Jim Cummings.

Stay tuned for more on Yeti as we get it, and for more monster movie goodness, here's everything we know about Lee Cronin's The Mummy, hitting theaters next month.
