If you can’t get enough of Creepshow on your screens, Monstrous Books has an exciting new release for you. The indie publisher is partnering with Evoke Entertainment Company to produce a new short story collection, Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror — based on the Shudder series created by genre legend Greg Nicotero — that hits shelves next spring.

Edited by James Aquilone, who also contributes to the collection, Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror features stories by David Avallone, Simon Bestwick, Nancy A. Collins, Dennis Crosby, Keith R.A. DeCandido, Gwendolyn Kiste, Jonathan Maberry, Lisa Morton, Steve Niles, Nick Roberts, Thomas E. Sniegoski, and Tim Waggoner. The collection features a unique cover by Russ Braun, with each story accompanied by a full-page illustration featuring The Creep himself, created by EV Cantada.

“Each story is a macabre celebration of Creepshow’s legacy,” says Aquilone. “We’ve assembled a can’t miss anthology, with morality tales of terror, justice, and cosmic retribution, all told with the Creep’s ghoulish grin.”

Creepshow, of course, began its life in 1982 as an anthology film directed by George A. Romero, featuring several short horror stories starring the likes of Leslie Nielsen, Ed Harris, and even Stephen King. After spawning two film sequels (and, technically, Romero’s series Tales From the Darkside as well), Creepshow continued its legacy on Shudder as a series helmed by Nicotero, best known for his work on The Walking Dead.

Running for four seasons, Creepshow the series adapted stories by Stephen King and Josh Malerman, among others, as well as creating unique, original horror stories starring faces like Ashley Laurence, Keith David, Barbara Crampton, and Ted Raimi. Monstrous’s new anthology plans to do the same, giving fans a new peek into the world of Creepshow now that the series has come to an end after four great seasons.

Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror hits shelves on May 19, 2026. Check out the cover down below:
