Sharks Aren’t The Only DANGEROUS ANIMALS In New Trailer For Sean Byrne’s Latest Horror

The aquatic survival saga hits theaters on June 6 via IFC Films and Shudder.

What's scarier, sharks or serial killers? The new trailer for Sean Byrne's upcoming survival horror Dangerous Animals might help you decide.

Starring Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone) and Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy), Dangerous Animals hits theaters wide on June 6 via IFC Films and Shudder. The aquatic creature feature is Byrne’s third horror film after The Loved Ones and The Devil’s Candy, and his first film in a decade.

Written by Nick Lenard, the pic follows:

When Zephyr, a rebellious surfer, is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer and held captive on his boat, she must figure out how to escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below.

Previously, Byrne described his toothy thriller as follows:

There have been a lot of shark films over the years but, I promise, none like this, where audiences are left to decipher who the deadliest creature really is – man or animal. It’s a survival horror experience with teeth that screams to be seen on the big screen,”

If you're lucky enough to be in the Austin, TX area, you can catch an early screening of Dangerous Animals (on the water, if you're brave enough) with Byrne and Harrison in attendance for a live Q&A.
