Netflix's animated adaptation of Capcom's Devil May Cry hits the streamer on April 3, with today bringing a brand new sneak peek clip that shows more of demon-hunter Dante in action.
From showrunner Adi Shankar (Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix) and animation Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra), Devil May Cry stars the vocal talents of Johnny Yong Bosch (who voices Nero in the Capcom games) as the iconic cocky character.
For those unfamiliar with Devil May Cry:
Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
Further plot details are still under wraps, but what we do know is that Devil May Cry‘s theme song is none other than Rollin' by Limp Bizkit, for ultimate 2000s flashbacks.
One of Capcom's most successful game franchises (birthed from a failed Resident Evil game), Devil May Cry debuted in 2001 and spawned six main entries, selling over 32 million copies worldwide. A previous anime series, Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, aired back in 2007.
