DYING LIGHT: THE BEAST Gets Summer Release Date And New Trailer

Kyle Crane returns to battle the Baron and a whole bunch of zombies.

The latest entry in the Dying Light franchise, Dying Light: The Beast, just dropped a brand new trailer and summer release date during Summer Game Fest. Fans of the franchise can play the next chapter of the horror survival game on August 22, 2025.

In The Beast, fans will once again play as Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the original 2015 game. The 2018 sequel introduced Aiden Caldwell as the main protagonist and moved the action to the open world setting of Villedor. But now, Crane is back. After escaping from the Baron, subjected to his mad experiments, Crane now possesses both human and zombie DNA and is seeking revenge on the man who made him this way.

The Beast allows players to switch between two playstyles, accessing Crane’s inner beast and his humanity. The brutality of the first-person combat is intact in all its gory glory. Parkour continues to factor heavily into the gameplay as players jump from rooftop to rooftop while navigating through a zombie apocalypse.

Players will have the option to band together in 4-player co-op mode for maximum scavenging potential. Dying Light: The Beast will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S at launch on August 22, 2025.
