Another day, another Scream 7 casting announcement, with Deadline announcing today that Ethan Embry (First Man, Empire Records Grace & Frankie) has joined the slasher sequel set for release on February 27, 2026.
Embry joins Neve Campbell as final girl Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Isabel May, McKenna Grace, Jasmin Savoy-Brown, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Anna Camp ,Mark Consuelos and Joel McHale, as well as Scott Foley and Matthew Lillard, who will return as previously-thought-deceased Scream characters Roman Bridger and Stu Macher respectively.
Directed by Scream writer Kevin Williamson from a script by Gary Busick, Scream 7 has been described as a Sidney-focused story, following Campbell's return to the series after being absent for Scream 6.
Embry's genre credits include Sean Byrne's The Devil's Candy, The Walking Dead and Michael Patrick Jann's upcoming psychological horror Alma and the Wolf.
