Cannes' Fantastic Pavilion, the festival's genre cinema hub, returns for its third edition at the upcoming Marché du Film (running from May 13 – 21), and we're excited to bring you some exclusive images from the electrifying and eclectic lineup.

Among the many highlights of this year's selection is Cam Sepha, a Turkish remake of Caye Casas' shocking, pitch black horror The Coffee Table from Can Evrenol, the director of the equally shocking Baskin

Also part of the spine-tingling showcase is supernatural horror Talking to a Stranger from director Adrián García Boglianotor (Late Phases), which stars Gigi Saul Guerrero in her first leading role.

In a statement, Fantastic Pavilion's Executive Director Pablo Guisa Koestinger expresses his excitement for this year's slate of genre goodness:

“This year’s fantastic galas have become a true staple of Cannes—a double proof of success. First, because they now stand as premier events uniting cast and crew, and second, because one of the films we’re showcasing wouldn’t exist without last year’s IP Showcase at the Pavilion. We connect creators with investors from around the world, bring them together, create business opportunities, secure deals, and—above all—make movies happen.”

Fantastic Pavilion Producer Alex Noyer adds:

“The fantastic galas have garnered such a buzz across our last 3 years. They are an opportunity to showcase the vibrancy of the horror community worldwide. This is why cast and crew show up and want to impress. We are so proud of this amazing line up.”

Originally conceived as a way to both accelerate and symbolise the now significant role that genre plays in international market dynamics, Fantastic Pavilion first launched in 2023 with features including Departing Seniors and the Ted Raimi-starring Failure!

Original Title: Cam Sepha
The remake of “La Mesita del Comedor” marks a landmark success story born within the dynamic ecosystem of the Fantastic Pavilion at the Marché du Film in Cannes. It was here that the remake rights for Caye Casas’ provocative Spanish original were secured—an emblematic deal that showcases the Pavilion’s growing role as a catalyst for genre-driven international collaborations. Now reimagined by director Can Evenrol, the new version is a psychological thriller that explores the unraveling of a couple’s fragile relationship after the birth of their child—and a deceptively simple decision to buy a new coffee table. What begins as a tense domestic drama gradually morphs into a chilling descent into existential horror. The film stars Hatice Aslan, Algi Eke, and Alper Kul.
