Earlier this year, we exclusively broke the news that Chilean found-footage horror Invoking Yell had scared up a sequel with Invoking Scream, and today we've got an exclusive first look at the latter, which has just finished principal photography.
Directed by Patricio Valladares from a screenplay written by Valladares and Barry Keating, Invoking Scream stars María Jesús Marcone (returning from Invoking Yell), Luna Martínez, Teresita Ríos, Matías López and Romina Dagnino,
Released onto digital on September of last year via Welcome Villain Films, Invoking Yell followed a trio of metalhead girls who venture into the woods to shoot the demo tape for their black metal band, Invoking Yell. As you can probably imagine, it doesn't go down well with the paranormal phenomena they unwillingly unearth.
In Invoking Scream:
After uncovering a buried box containing a VHS tape and a mysterious book of witchcraft at the gravesite of Invoking Yell lead singer Andrea Fernandez, a trio of metalheads unwittingly unleash a dark force. What begins as a documentary about Andrea's disappearance and the 1998 murders of her ill-fated bandmates quickly spirals into a waking nightmare—where the past doesn’t just haunt those connected to it… it demands a sacrifice.
Produced by Vittorio Farfán, Sebastián Riestra, Diego Moral Heimpell, and Patricio Valladares under the banner of Vallastudio Films, Invoking Scream is currently in post production. Check out the below stills while we wait for it to hit screens!
