The Shadyside slasher hits Netflix on May 23.

Prom season is right around the corner, with Netflix unleashing another set off gloriously retro Fear Street: Prom Queen posters to celebrate before the slasher hits the streamer on May 23.

Directed by Matt Palmer (Calibre), Fear Street: Prom Queen is the latest addition to the Fear Street slasher series (following Leigh Janiak's original Fear Street trilogy ) based on R.L. Stine's hugely popular series of YA novels from the 1990s, specifically, Stine's 1992 book The Prom Queen.

Fear Street: Prom Queen's stacked ensemble cast includes India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, Chris Klein, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Ariana Greenblatt, Lily Taylor, Katherine Waterson, Darrin Baker, Rebecca Ablack, Ilan O’Driscoll, Damian Romeo, Dakota Taylor, Eden Summer Gilmore, Brennan Clost, and Cecilia Lee.

An official synopsis reads:

Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.

:Today's new posters give a knowing wink to the original artwork for Carrie and Prom Night, two 80s classics that were surely on the inspo board for Fear Street: Prom Queen. Check 'em out below and for more Fear Street: Prom Queen go have a peek at our exclusive set of stills right here.
