Following yesterday's release date reveal for upcoming slasher Fear Street: Prom Queen, hitting the streamer on May 23, Netflix has released two new posters paying homage to the classic R. L. Stine book covers of the 90s.
Directed by Matt Palmer (Calibre), Fear Street: Prom Queen is the latest addition to the Fear Street film series following Leigh Janiak's original Fear Street trilogy (Part I: 1994, Part II: 1978 and Part III: 1666), which was released onto Netflix over three consecutive weeks back in 2021.
Based on Stine's 1992 book The Prom Queen, Fear Street: Prom Queen follows:
“Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway, and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”
Palmer co-wrote the screenplay with Donald McLeary.
Fear Street: Prom Queen‘s ensemble cast includes India Fowler (The Nevers, Insomnia), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket, The Idol), Fina Strazza (Paper Girls, Above the Shadows), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cinnamon), Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), Chris Klein (Sweet Magnolias, American Pie), Lili Taylor (Outer Range, Manhunt) and Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From, Perry Mason).
Check out the new posters below and don't miss Fear Street: Prom Queen on Netflix on May 23.
