Filmmakers Brea Grant (12 Hour Shift, Lucky, Best Friends Forever) and Ed Dougherty (Paint it Black, Faceless, 7 Witches)  have recently wrapped production on Grind, a four-part horror anthology focusing on a terrifying theme we can surely all relate to.

Deadline exclusively revealed today that Grind stars James Paxton (Twisters), Christopher Marquette (Barry), James Urbaniak (Oppenheimer) and Rob Huebel (Transparent).

Here's a short but sweet plot synopsis:

Grind‘s stories center around the gig economy, hustle culture, and the evils of late-stage capitalism.

Also starring in Grind are FANGORIA favorites Barbara Crampton (Suitable Flesh) and Gigi Saul Guerrero (Culture Shock, Satanic Hispanics), as well as Vinny Thomas (Platonic), Aubrey Shea (Nashville), Courtney Pauroso (Reno 911!), Ify Nwadiwe (Grand Crew), Jessika Van (Seoul Searching), James A. Janisse (Scream), Sharlene Cruz (In the Summers), Jon Gabrus (101 Places to Party Before You Die), Teri Gamble (Mrs. Davis) and Hannah Alline (Doom Patrol).

Deadline also let us know that Grant and Dougherty produced alongside Chelsea Stardust (Satanic Panic, All That We Destroy).

The son of the late, great Bill Paxton (Aliens, Near DarkNightcrawler) , James Paxton already has an impressive filmography behind him, including roles in horror movies Bit and Boogeyman Pop.

While capitalism has long been a bogeyman in many genre classics, from George A. Romero's 1978 Dawn of the Dead to Bong Joon-ho's Gothic-tinged thriller ParasiteGrind might just be the very first capitalism-themed horror anthology – needless to say, it's one you won't want to miss.

That's all we know about Grind for now, but we'll bring you more updates as we get them.
