Were you scarred for life as a child by the creepy Gushers commercial from the 90s where the kids’ heads turned into fruit? Well, now you can be scarred all over again as an adult with Gushers' new short horror film FruitHead.
Starring Bradley Whitford (The Cabin in the Woods, Get Out) and viral creator Chester Collins, the FruitHead short was directed by Mike Diva, the filmmaker behind the equally terrifying confectionary-based horror commercial Eat the Ice Cream for Halo Top Creamery. The short reimagines the Fruitheads legend as a dark, cinematic story: Bradley plays a TV commercial director who cursed a young actor from the ’90s ad to live life as a FruitHead, a role Chester portrays as an adult seeking horrifying revenge.
Fans can watch FruitHead now onGushers' official site, and the short will also be making its festival debut at the upcoming Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, so make sure to check it out on the big screen if you're attending.
