Shudder’s bringing plenty of blood and guts to reality TV for Halloween, and they’ve recruited a major name in horror for their latest competition series. Greg Nicotero’s unscripted series Guts & Glory is airing now on the streamer (as well as AMC+), and FANGORIA is excited to premiere an exclusive clip from this week’s episode, featuring some death-defying heights.

Featuring as executive producer and showrunner, Nicotero’s new series airs weekly on Shudder and AMC+, described by the SFX legend as “if Survivor and The Blair Witch Project had a baby,” filled with plenty of genre-themed challenges and surprises. The show’s logline is as follows:

The new series blends the intensity of a horror film with the pressure of a reality show survival game, confronting the contestants’ fears, skill and intellect in various scenarios. Players must survive the night or be eliminated in ways they never saw coming.

Our exclusive sneak peek of Episode 3 features competitors strung up on a high wire, attempting to roll a full-size car tire across a narrow gap. Some have full confidence, while others admit to a fear of heights, or other issues heightening their nerves. But regardless of their feelings on heights, the playing field will soon be leveled with the arrival of a terrifying creature who’s out for the competitors’ blood…

Guts & Glory is also executive produced by Brian Witten of Monster Agency Productions, Chris Wagner of White Label, and Andrew Molina of Salaryman. The series is Shudder’s second unscripted reality program to join its extensive lineup of original programming, following the success of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, as well as its spin-off, Titans

The first two episodes of Guts & Glory are available to stream now on Shudder and AMC+, with new episodes airing on Tuesdays. Check out our sneak peek of tonight’s episode below:
