Valentine's Day slasher Heart Eyes from director Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within, Scare Me) gets a bloody new Red Band trailer today that gives us a sneak peek at the masked maniac of the holiday slasher releasing, appropriately, on February 7, 2025.
Debuted exclusively by Bloody Disgusting earlier today, the Heart Eyes trailer also gives us a first look at stars Mason Gooding (Scream) and Olivia Holt (Cruel Summer) on what looks to be a date gone horribly, horribly wrong.
Written by Phillip Murphy (The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard) and Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) and Michael Kennedy (Freaky, It's a Wonderful Knife), Heart Eyes follows:
“For the past several years, the Heart Eyes Killer has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.”
Alongside Gooding and Holt, Heart Eyes also stars Gigi Zumbado (The Real Bros of Simi Valley) and Michaela Watkins (Dinner with the Parents) and Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning).
Chucky and Final Destination legend Devon Sawa also stars.
In a previous statement, Ruben expressed his excitement at blessing the horror world with another holiday-themed slasher:
“My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies. I’m excited as hell to mount my most challenging genre bender to date: a brutal slasher in a nostalgic rom-com universe.”
Heart Eyes hits theaters on February 7, 2025 via Screen Gems and Spyglass (Scream, Thanksgiving). Check out the new trailer and poster below:
