For the first time in almost 40 years since its 1987 release, Clive Barker's subversive horror classic Hellraiser is returning to theaters for a limited time thanks to Fathom Events.
On February 5 and 6, the newly remastered 4K release will hit select theaters accompanied by a 2004 interview with Pinhead himself, Under the Skin: Doug Bradley on Hellraiser.
Based on Barker’s 1986 novella The Hellbound Heart, Hellraiser introduced the world to the horny and horrific world of the Cenobites, group of extra-dimensional, sadomasochistic beings who cannot differentiate between pain and pleasure. Alongside Bradley as the Hell Priest, Hellraiser stars Andrew Robinson, Clare Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Sean Chapman and Oliver Smith.
Hellraiser birthed a franchise, with nine sequels following, the most recent being David Bruckner's 2022 reboot, also titled Hellraiser.
