For the unfamiliar, The Traitors is a reality game show in which a castle full of contestants is secretly divided into two groups: the “faithful” and the “traitors.” Contestants don't know how many traitors are in the group, only that there is at least one (typically two or three). The traitors aim to fit in, undetected, so that they can secretly “murder” faithfuls in the dead of night.
It is the job of the faithful to find and eliminate the traitors that walk among them. This season has a new twist. Typically, the audience knows which players are traitors and which are faithful. This time, there's a secret traitor, kept hidden even from the audience, and the new twist has everyone wondering: who is the secret traitor?
If the “faithful” manage to suss out all the traitors by the end of the game, they’ll take home the prize money. But if any traitors remain in the group, the traitors will take it all. If you’ve ever played a game of Werewolf, Mafia, or Among Us, then you’re familiar with the concept. This televised version of the game has Alan Cumming hosting in increasingly fabulous outfits with his dog Lala by his side (also in stylish outfits), and it all takes place at the incredibly cinematic Ardross Castle in the very picturesque Scottish Highlands.
The early seasons of The Traitors featured regular folks competing against each other. More recent seasons have featured reality TV stars competing in the castle. The latter is interesting because many of the contestants from reality TV either have preexisting friendships or at least know one another casually. That means if you’re a traitor, you’re likely looking into your friends’ faces and lying to them point-blank. That throws an interesting hitch into the mix.
As a fan of the show, I got to thinking how fun it would be to build a fantasy league roster of horror icons to play The Traitors. And now that I've made the list, I really want to see these folks in the castle. (For the real thing, The Traitors season 4 is now streaming on Peacock.) Here's our ultimate wishlist fantasy league draft of horror icons we’d love to see on The Traitors.

Barbara Crampton
Queen Barbara Crampton serving space fashion realness in RE-ANIMATOR Green (Credit: Nanor Zinzalian) Our resident scene queen is my first fantasy roster pick. At the end of the day, The Traitors is essentially a popularity contest, even if contestants suspect you may be a traitor, if they like you enough, they may keep you around a little longer than they should because they don’t want to believe their favorite castlemate could be the secret enemy. And who better to charm a castle full of castmates than Crampton?
Castle freaks beware. BUT I will say, sometimes flying under the radar until midway through the season is an asset, so being naturally vivacious and charming could potentially backfire.
Felissa Rose
THE LAST DRIVE IN (Credit: Shudder) Another charming and talented lady of horror in the mix! Felissa is one of horror’s sweethearts, which would make her the perfect villain. Surely she’d make the list of least likely to be suspected, but people may forget… she did steal the Chainsaw Awards in 2025, and the role that first landed her on the map was a murderer nobody would ever suspect.
I would advise her fellow castmates to play it cool should they suspect her, because it would be slow going convincing the rest of the group, and whoever ended up hot on her tail would likely be sleeping with the fishes before the cock crowed.
Bruce Campbell

Really, I’d watch any reality show with the wise-cracking Campbell doing his thing. Throwing some murder, mystery, and a castle of fellow horror icons in the mix makes it a mega bonus. I can hear his voice booming through the castle now.Cassandra Peterson
THE MUNSTERS (Credit: Netflix) The mistress of the dark! Speaking of wisecracks, Peterson can go toe to toe with anyone, anytime. Beyond her ability to harness humor, she joins the other women on this list as a savvy businesswoman, which is a skill that would likely come in handy when navigating the treachery within the castle.Matthew Lillard
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S (Credit: Universal) Lillard has cemented his status as a scream king, and he’s just an all-around delightful dude. Imagine him roaming the halls of the castle trying to solve this mystery (zoinks!). He would make an excellent faithful, but if he were picked as a traitor, I imagine he would go very, very far before being discovered.Sarah Michelle Gellar
WOLF PACK (Credit: Paramount+) Gellar is bringing the Buffy universe back to our screens, and fans would go absolutely rabid to see her kicking some intellectual ass in the halls of Ardross Castle. I, for one, would love to watch her lead a pack of faithfuls to victory.Doug Jones
HOCUS POCUS 25TH ANNIVERSARY HALLOWEEN BASH (Credit: Disney) Jones solidified his horror royalty status as a creature actor, most notably as Billy Butcherson in Hocus Pocus and in his longtime collaboration with Guillermo del Toro. Watching Jones traipse around a dilapidated mansion as What We Do In The Shadows regular Baron Afanas feels like a sneak peek of what it would be like if he joined the Traitors cast.Robert Englund
PYTHON (Credit: 20th Century) Englund brought a pop culture icon to life in the A Nightmare On Elm Street series, but I really think his stage training and experience would come in quite handy in the castle. Especially in the round table debates. I don’t know whether I would prefer to see Englund as a faithful or a traitor; either way, he’s an excellent addition to the lineup.Freddy Krueger
Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (Credit: New Line Cinema) Ok, I know I just added Robert Englund to the list above, but if this is a fantasy draft.. who’s to say I can’t throw Freddy on here? That doesn’t mean I’d want to swap Freddy for Robert, mind you. I see it as more of a Hannah Montana situation. Jekyll and Hyde, if you will, wherein Robert plays two contestants, showing up as himself and as the iconic Freddy Krueger when the mood strikes.
The fun part would be that everyone would likely suspect Freddy of being a traitor, but that’s too obvious. Meaning he would be wrongfully accused and voted out early, only to reveal he was a faithful all along. But imagine the zingers we’d get even from one episode! Traitors – 1 Faithful – 0.
Pinhead
In continuing with the ultimate fantasy version of this fantasy draft, I would love to see the ever eloquent Hell Priest thrown into the mix. The group dynamic would be incredible to witness, but the confessionals would likely be the real gold. And there would be such poetry in store for us!Chucky
CHUCKY (Credit: Syfy) Freddy and Chucky can’t be voted off on the same episode, so we’ve got to have at least one of these wisecrackers in the group beyond the premiere. Now that I think of it, Chucky brings a certain kind of little shit energy to the castle and would likely be voted off before Freddy Krueger, regardless of whether anyone actually suspected he was a traitor. That’s showbiz, baby.
