58 New Horror Movies Streaming On Peacock This Month

You have a lot to look forward to with scary movies on Peacock this month. You can get your fill of some of the greatest horror movies ever and check out exclusive streaming premieres and Peacock original series. Peacock has two new series, Teacup, produced by James Wan's Atomic Monster, and Hysteria!, a show about a young rock band who decides to take advantage of the Satanic Panic of the 80s by pretending to be a devil-worshipping band. 

The two Peacock exclusive streaming premiere films are movies that take you back to your childhood and then throw a fright into you with some of your cherished memories from your early years. Both Mickey Mouse and the works of A.A. Milne have entered the public domain and so the characters have become the genre's newest slasher villains. 

But if you just want to check out some familiar favorites, there are many terrific choices here. You will find three of The Purge films, director Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes, Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and It Follows

  • The Mouse Trap on October 1

    The Peacock exclusive and streaming debut of The Mouse Trap brings another childhood icon turned slasher movie to Halloween 2024. Directed by Jamie Bailey and written by Simon Phillips, the Canadian comedy horror slasher stars Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, and Mireille Gagné.

    In the films, Alex's 21st birthday has come, but she's stuck at the amusement arcade on a late shift so her friends decide to surprise her, but a masked killer dressed as Mickey Mouse decides to play a game of his own with them which she must survive

  • Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II on October 1

    The sequel to Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, the independent slasher film that caused a sensation, will have its streaming premiere on Peacock on October 1 as a Peacock exclusive.  In the newest chapter, Christopher Robin abandons them for college, Pooh and Piglet embark on a bloody rampage as they search for a new source of food.

    Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the writer and director of the film, has created the Poohniverse or the Twisted Childhood Universe and these movies are based on the writings of beloved children's authors A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. The second movie in the series stars Scott Chambers, Tallulah Evans, Ryan Oliva, and Teresa Banham.

     

  • Teacup on October 10, 17, 24, and 31

    Teacup is a brand new Peacock original series that follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon.

    Created by showrunner and producer Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone, Deputy, Chicago Fire), it is executive produced by James Wan (The Conjuring Universe, Archive 81, M3GAN)by his Atomic Monster production company. 

    Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Émilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux will star in the show which premieres with two episodes released on October 1, produced and directed by Azreal filmmaker E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Channel Zero).

    The rest of the season will premiere, with two episodes each, on 17, and 24. The season finale episodes will premiere on October 31.

     

     

     

     

  • Hysteria! on October 18

    Hysteria! is a new Peacock original series about a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who use the town's sudden interest in the occult to start a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a strange series of triggers a witch hunt that leads back to them.

    Julie Bowen, Bruce Campbell, Garret Dillahunt, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, and Kezii Curtis star in the new show which was created by Matthew Scott Kane (Stichers). Jonathan Goldstein (Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), John Francis Daley, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts directed the episodes and Kane and David A. Goodman will serve as showrunners for the series.

    All eight episodes of Hysteria!'s first season will premiere on October 18.

     

  • BOO! Frightful Films on Peacock for Spooky Season

    Christine (1983): A nerdish boy buys a strange car with an evil mind of its own and his nature starts to change to reflect it.

    The Craft: A newcomer to a Catholic prep high school falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who anger them.

    The Devil's Rejects: The murderous, backwoods Firefly family takes to the road to escape the vengeful Sheriff Wydell, who is not afraid of being as ruthless as his target.

    Don't Be Afraid of The Dark: A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend believes that she has released creatures from a sealed ash pit in the basement of her new home.

    Drag Me To Hell: A loan officer who evicts an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.

    The Final Girls: A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom's most famous movie. Reunited, the women must fight off the film's maniacal killer.

    The Fly (1986): A brilliant but eccentric scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong.

    Freaky: After swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a high-school senior discovers that she has fewer than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.

    Fright Night (2011):  Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, and David Tennent star in a remake of the beloved 80s vampire classic when a teenager discovers that a vampire has moved in next door and that the people he loves might be the next victims.

    I Still Know What You Did Last Summer: The murderous fisherman with a hook is back to once again stalk the two surviving teens, Julie and Ray, who had left him for dead, as well as cause even more murder and mayhem, this time at a posh island resort.

    I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer: A group of teenagers in Colorado find themselves being stalked and killed one by one by a mysterious figure with a hook, exactly one year after they covered up a friend's accidental death.

    It Follows: This terrifying story of a teenage girl who finds herself stalked by a presence that can appear as anyone unless she passes the curse successfully on to another person stars Maika Monroe, in her breakthrough role and was directed by David Robert Mitchell.

    Jennifer's Body: A newly-possessed high-school cheerleader turns into a succubus who specializes in killing her male classmates. In this horror comedy, only her best friend knows what is happening and has any hope of stopping Jennifer.

    Last Night in Soho: Aspiring fashion designer Eloise is mysteriously able to return to 1960s London, where she encounters dazzling wannabe singer Sandie. But the glamour is not as it seems, and the dreams of the past crack and splinter into something darker.

    Leprechaun III:  An evil leprechaun finds himself in Las Vegas, where he proceeds to cause mischief by killing people, granting twisted wishes, and infecting a young man with his green blood.
