51 Free Horror Movies Streaming In June

DEADSTREAM, THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS and LA LLORONA bring terror, beauty and humor this month

You can just keep enjoying free horror movie streaming this month with all the great titles that streaming apps have available. There are some very popular and underseen choices, beautiful and brutal films, sometimes both at the same time, for you to watch as many times as you want. There are some binge-watch opportunities available, too, just in case you would rather stay in while it's still a bit chilly before summer gets rolling. 

Pluto TV has a slightly lower total this month but is also celebrating cinema in real life in June with its award-winning “Free Movie Weekend” program as a part of its “Summer of Cinema” campaign, which brings the service’s signature “free” offering to independent theaters around the country by providing complimentary movie tickets during select weekends all summer. The service has partnered with 14 family-run and independent theaters to provide moviegoers with free tickets, giveaways, and theater activities to honor the magic of cinema and inspire patrons to support local and historic theaters.

Films from the 80s and 90s mix with new films among Pluto's offerings for June. Are there werewolves roaming the French countryside in Brotherhood of the Wolf? Vampires go wild in the three flicks from the From Dusk till Dawn franchise, and bad roommates that will do more than just use all your mayonnaise during June gloom. 

Pluto TV truly lives up to its motto, “stream now, pay never,” with an unending flow of films and television that you don't even have to create an account to access, much less pay for. Brotherhood of the Wolf: In 18th-century France, the Chevalier de Fronsac and his Native American friend Mani are sent to the Gevaudan province at the king's behest to investigate the killings of hundreds by a mysterious beast.

Crawl: What is the worst that could happen during a deadly hurricane? If you thought “giant alligators”, then Crawl is the film for you. In the film, those aforementioned alligators swarm around a young woman and her father as floodwaters engulf their home.

The Disappointments Room: A mother and her young son release unimaginable horrors from the attic of their rural dream home in this film starring Kate Beckinsale, Mel Raido, and Duncan Joiner. Directed by D.J. Caruso, The Disappointments Room was written by Caruso and writer and actor Wentworth Miller. 

Event Horizon:  Director Paul W.S. Anderson's fearsome space horror film, written by Phil Eisner, stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard T. Jones, Jason Isaacs, and Joely Richardson. A rescue crew is tasked with investigating the mysterious reappearance of a spaceship that had been lost for seven years in this gory and terrifying exploration of space and the mind.

From Dusk Till Dawn: The film that starts as a violent crime drama suddenly becomes something else entirely when two criminals and their hostages unknowingly seek temporary refuge in a truck stop populated by vampires, with chaotic results.  With an all-star cast including Harvey Keitel, George Clooney,  Quentin Tarantino, who also wrote the film, Ernest Liu, John Hawkes, Cheech Marin, and Juliette Lewis. The fun really gets started when genre stalwarts Tom Savini, John Saxon, Danny Trejo, and Fred Williamson make their appearances. 

From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money: The first direct-to-video sequel in the series, written and directed by Scott Spiegel. Five career criminals gather in Mexico to pull off a bank heist. They soon realize that they are up against far more frightening creatures than the police pursuing them.

From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman’s Daughter: Set 100 years ago in Mexico, this horror/western is the story of the birth of the vampire princess Santanico Pandemonium. Marco Leonardi, Michael Parks, Ara Celi, Sônia Braga, Rebecca Gayheart, and Orlando Jones star in this film, which takes the story back to the time of the Old West and offers an explanation for the mysterious disappearance of the author Ambrose Bierce. 

The Lawnmower Man (Director’s Cut): Director Brett Leonard's (Virtuosity) version of the science fiction horror film about a simple man is turned into a genius through the application of computer science, based loosely on a Stephen King short story stars Pierce Brosnan, Jeff Fahey, Jenny Wright and Dean Norris. 

Pet Sematary (2019): Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home in this second adaptation of Stephen King's deeply disturbing novel.  Co-directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer bring the story to life again with  Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Jeté Laurence, and John Lithgow. 

Poltergeist: A family's home becomes the center of paranormal activity that opens a doorway to the “other side.” With help, they must cross over to get their daughter back. The film that made your family's TV scarier was directed by genre legend Tobe Hooper and stars JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Dominique Dunne, Heather O'Rourke, Zelda Rubinstein, Richard Lawson, Oliver Robins, and Beatrice Straight.

Single White Female: Bridget Fonda stars as a young woman who, advertising for a new roommate, finds that something very strange is going on with the tenant who decides to move in. Directed by Barbet Schroeder, this classic 90s film also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Steven Weber, Frances Bay, and Stephen Tobolowsky.

Alone In The Dark: Based on the popular video game series and directed by Uwe Boll, the film stars Christian Slater, Tara Reid, and Stephen Dorff.  A detective of the paranormal slowly unravels mysterious events with deadly results.

Brahms: The Boy II: In the sequel to the 2016 film, The Boy,  which stars Katie Holmes, Ralph Ineson, Christopher Convery, and Owain Yeoman, the creepy doll continues its reign of terror. After a family moves into the Heelshire Mansion, their young son soon makes friends with a life-like doll called Brahms.

Deadstream: The hilariously terrifying found footage film written and directed by the wife and husband team of  Vanessa and Joseph Winter comes to Tubi this month, and it's not to be missed. A disgraced internet personality attempts to win back his followers by livestreaming one night alone in a haunted house. But when he accidentally upsets a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.

The Djinn:  A mute boy is trapped in his apartment with a sinister monster when he makes a wish to fulfill his heart's greatest desire in this film, written and directed by David Charbonier and Justin Powell, that stars Ezra Dewey, Rob Brownstein, Tevy Poe, and John Erickson.

The First Purge: America's third political party, the New Founding Fathers of America, comes to power and conducts an experiment: no laws for 12 hours on Staten Island. No one has to stay on the island, but $5,000 is given to anyone who does. Written by series creator James DeMonaco, it was directed by Gerard McMurray and stars Y'lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, and Steve Harris.

Friday the 13th (1980): One of horror's favorite villains was born in this film from 1980, as a group of teenage camp counselors attempt to re-open an abandoned summer camp with a tragic past, but they are stalked by a mysterious, relentless killer. It stars Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, Mark Nelson, and Kevin Bacon in a very early film role.

Frozen: Three skiers stranded on a chairlift are forced to make life-or-death choices, which prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death. Writer and director Adam Green brings this intense tale to the screen with Shawn Ashmore, Kevin Zegers, and Emma Bell as the unfortunate skiers. 

Get Out: Writer and director Jordan Peele's breakthrough film was also his debut feature that became a cultural phenomenon.  Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Lil Rel Howery, LaKeith Stanfield, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, Catherine Keener, and Betty Gabriel star in this story of a young African-American visits his white girlfriend's parents for the weekend, where his simmering uneasiness about their reception of him eventually reaches a boiling point.

Girl With All The Gifts: A deadly Cordyceps mushroom infection has destroyed civilization, with only a few pockets of humanity remaining. A scientist and a teacher living in a dystopian future embark on a journey of survival with a special young girl named Melanie.  Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, Glenn Close, and Sennia Nanua star in this somber and exquisite adaptation of the novel by Mike Carey

Gremlins: After receiving an exotic small animal as a Christmas gift, a young man inadvertently breaks three important rules concerning his new pet, which unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous creatures on a small town.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch: In Joe Dante's sequel, the Gremlins are back, and this time, they've taken control of a New York City media mogul's high-tech skyscraper. Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Dick Miller, Jackie Joseph and Keye Luke are back and actress Belinda Balaski returns as a different character. Howie Mandel contributes the adorable voice of Gizmo, and Christopher Lee joins the cast 

Hannibal Rising: This prequel to The Silence of the Lambs is an adaptation of a Thomas Harris novel that explores the beginnings of serial killer Hannibal Lecter's life and stars Gaspard Ulliel, Gong Li, Rhys Ifans, Richard Brake, and Dominic West. This story tells of the trauma and tragedy during World War II that warped young Hannibal Lecter's mind.

Hereditary:  A grieving family headed by the mother, who is an artist who paints miniatures, is tormented by sinister occurrences after the death of their secretive grandmother and an escalating series of family tragedies. Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, Ann Dowd, and Gabriel Byrne star in the beloved feature debut of Ari Aster, who wrote and directed the film. 

House on Haunted Hill:  An amusement park mogul offers a group of diverse people $1,000,000 to spend the night in a haunted house with a horrifying past in the 1999 remake of William Castle's gimmick filled scary movie. Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Ali Larter, Bridgette Wilson, Peter Gallagher, and Chris Kattan star in the first film from the Dark Castle production company. 

Jaws:  Steven Spielberg's first feature film was one of the biggest hits in history and still gives beachgoers chills every summer. When a massive killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Long Island, it's up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down. Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Robert Shaw, Murray Hamilton, Lorraine Gary and Bruce the Shark star in this ever-popular blockbuster horror film. 

La Llorona: Guatemalan writer and director Jayro Bustamante's stunning film about the real-life genocide of the Indigenous Mayan people of his country.  An aging paranoid war criminal, protected by his faithful wife, faces death while being haunted by the ghosts of his past. María Mercedes Coroy, Margarita Kenéfic, Sabrina De La Hoz, Julio Díaz, and María Telón star in this magnificent and eerie film. 

Leatherface:  A teenage Leatherface escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnapping a young nurse and taking her on a road trip from hell, while being pursued by a lawman out for revenge. The eighth film in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre series stars Stephen Dorff, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, and Lili Taylor.

Little Shop Of Horrors (1986): A nerdy florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed in this musical horror comedy adapted from the hit Broadway musical. Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, and the voice of Levi Stubbs bring the fright and the comedy with a giant carnivorous plant. 

The Lodge: A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé's two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place. Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell, Lia McHugh, Alicia Silverstone, and Richard Armitage star in this disturbing film from Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, who also directed Goodnight Mommy.

Mom and Dad: A teenage girl and her younger brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origin causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.  The film stars Nicolas Cage, Selma Blair, and Lance Heinrikson as parents who become homicidal maniacs. 

Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy: Explore the origins of “dream demon” Freddy Krueger in this award-winning documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the most frightening and imaginative horror franchise in motion picture history. Director Wes Craven, actors Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Lisa Wilcox, and Mark Patton, and producer Robert Shaye appear among the many others interviewed for the film. 

Piranha 3-D:  After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents in director Alexandre Aja's gruesome horror comedy.  Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Jerry O'Connell, Ving Rhames, Jessica Szohr, Steven R. McQueen, Christopher Lloyd, and Richard Dreyfuss play the bedeviled characters just trying to survive spring break. 

The Purge: Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Adelaide Kane, and Max Burkholder star in the first film in the series that captured the imagination of the American public when it was released. A wealthy family is held hostage for harboring the target of a murderous syndicate during the Purge, a 12-hour period in which any and all crime is legal.

The Purge: Anarchy:  Three groups of people intertwine and are left stranded in the streets on Purge Night, trying to survive the chaos and violence that occurs.  Frank Grillo, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, and Michael K. Williams are new to the series, and Edwin Hodge returns in his role from the first film. This film delves more into the real motivations of the creators of The Purge, the New Founding Fathers, and the unknown depravity of the event. 

Stephen King’s Cat’s Eye: An adorable stray cat, who is taken in by a young child, guides the viewers through each tale in this Stephen King-based anthology horror film. Drew Barrymore, James Woods, Alan King, Robert Hays, and Candy Clark play the characters in each segment, fighting for survival against different antagonists. 

Texas Chainsaw 3D: A young woman travels to Texas to collect an inheritance. Little does she know that an encounter with a chainsaw-wielding killer is part of the reward. Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine “Trey Songz” Neverson, Tania Raymonde, and Bill Moseley star in the film with a special appearance by series star Gunnar Hansen.

June 9: 

The Devil’s Trap: In a hospital, a paralyzed man is tormented by horrific nightmares until another patient reveals that there is a demonic presence stalking them. The film stars Bruce Dern, Michael Paré, and Richard Grieco.

The Descent Part 2: Refusing to believe her story about cave-dwelling monsters, the sole survivor of a spelunking exploration is forced to follow the authorities back into the caves where something awaits.
